Education Qualification
Higher Secondary (HSC/Class 12th) or equivalent examination from a recognized board. Must have completed a Six-Month Fireman Training Course from a government-recognized institute OR Fireman/Driver-cum-Pump Operator training course. Must possess a valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) Driving Licence. Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both, and basic computer knowledge as per Gujarat Government rules.

Not Required (training and licence as mentioned above are mandatory).
Age Limit
Minimum Age: 18 Years Maximum Age: 33 Years (as on the last date of application – 23.12.2025).
Age Relaxation
Female Candidates (UR): 5 years relaxation. Male Candidates of Reserved Categories (SC/ST/SEBC): 5 years relaxation. Female Candidates of Reserved Categories: 10 years (5+5) relaxation. Ex-Servicemen: Additional relaxation for length of service plus up to 3 years, as per Gujarat Government rules.
Salary
First 3 Years: Fixed pay of Rs. 26,000/- per month. After completion of 5 years of satisfactory service: Pay Level-2, Rs. 19,900 – Rs. 63,200/- as per 7th CPC, with admissible allowances.
Allowances
After regular appointment in Pay Level-2, eligible for Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA) and other benefits as per Gujarat State Government rules.

Selection Process
Single Stage Competitive Written Examination in Computer Based Response Test (CBRT) / OMR mode. Part-A: 60 marks (Reasoning & Data Interpretation, Quantitative Aptitude). Part-B: 150 marks (Constitution of India, Current Affairs, Gujarati and English Comprehension, Fire & Safety related subject questions). Total 210 questions for 210 marks, duration 3 hours, with 1/4th negative marking for each wrong answer. Merit list based on written marks followed by Document Verification; final selection as per category-wise vacancies.
